- စိတ္ကူးထဲမွာ - in one’s mind’s eyes
(1) In my mind’s eye, I can still see the house where I was born.
ကၽြန္ေတာ့္ မ်က္စိထဲမွာ ကၽြန္ေတာ့္ ဇာတိခ်က္ျမွပ္အိမ္ကို ျမင္ေယာင္ေနတုန္းပါပဲ။
(2) In his mind’s eye, he can imagine the effect he’s having.
သူ႔စိတ္ကူးထဲမွာေတာ့ သူဟာ အက်ဳိးရလာဒ္ ရွိေနတုန္းပဲလို႔ စိတ္ကူးႏိုင္တယ္။
(3) He was dreaming his parents were still alive in his mind’s eye.
သူ႔မိဘေတြ အသက္ရွင္ေနေသးတယ္ ဆိုၿပီး သူ႔စိတ္ကူးထဲမွာ ျပန္ေတြးေနမိတယ္။

- စိတ္ေရာကိုယ္ပါ - heart and soul
(1) The clever sons and daughters devoted themselves heart and soul to caring for their parents.
လိမၼာၾကတဲ့ သားသမီးေတြဟာ မိဘေတြကို စိတ္ေရာကိုယ္ပါ ျပဳစု ေစာင့္ေရွာက္ၾကတယ္။
(2) They threw themselves heart and soul into the project.
သူတို႔ေတြဟာ လုပ္ငန္းအထဲမွာပဲ သူတို႔ကိုယ္ သူတို႔ စိတ္ေရာကိုယ္ပါ ျမဳပ္ထားလိုက္ေတာ့တယ္။
(3) If you put your heart and soul into something, you can do it with a great deal of enthusiasm and energy.
တကယ္လို႔ မင္းဟာ တစ္ခုခုမွာ စိတ္ေရာကိုယ္ပါ စိတ္၀င္စားမယ္ ဆိုရင္ မင္းဟာ စိတ္ထက္သန္မႈနဲ႔ စြမ္းအင္ မ်ားစြာကို အဲဒီ တစ္ခုခုမွာ လုပ္ႏိုင္မယ္။

- တျခားစီပဲ/ဘာမွမဆိုင္ဘူး/မီကိုမမီဘူး - not anything like
(1) He isn’t anything like my first boss.
သူက ငါ့ရဲ ႔ ပထမ သူေဌးနဲ႔ေတာ့ တျခားစီပဲ။
(2) The film wasn’t anything like as good as E.T.
ဒီရုပ္ရွင္က အီးတီဇာတ္ကားေလာက္ ေကာင္းကို မေကာင္းဘူး။
(3) The book wasn’t anything like as good as her first one.
ဒီစာအုပ္က သူမရဲ႕ ပထမ စာအုပ္ေလာက္ ေကာင္းကို မေကာင္းဘူး။ တျခားစီပဲ။
