Who Is The Buddha?
The BUDDHA, by cultivating, developing purified His mind. He gained Enlightenment. Many people actually do not know what is Enlightenment very loosely they use this word Enlightenment. So, One day, when the Buddha was going somewhere, He met a Bramin. I think you know the meaning of Bramin. Hindu, Priest, teacher, master, (Guru) or everything. They are called Bramana. He has never seen another human being like this person so he could not believe that this is a human being.
He came and asked may I know whether you are a God.
Others try to claim they are God, the messenger of God, son of God.
The Buddha says “No, I am not a God.”
Then he asked, in that case, May I know whether you are any other form of supernatural living beings.
He says (the Buddha) “No, I am very natural.”
Then he asked, in that case, are you an ordinary human being?
“No”
Now confusing in his mind who this person is. Then he asked who are you. The Buddha gave this answer. This answer is very important for us to know to understand who the Buddha is. If somebody comes and asks you “Now, You follow the Buddha, Can you tell me actually who the Buddha is?” But I don’t think you can give the correct answer. You say something.
This self introduction given by the Buddha is very meaningful. We can understand why He is called Enlightened One.
He says in His own language.
"အဘိိေဥယ်ံ၊ အဘိဥာတံ။
ဘာေ၀တဗၺံစ ဘာ၀ိတံ။
“I understood everything that which exists in this universe. I have practiced all the great qualities virtues, moral, principles, and good qualities in this world. I have eradicated uprooted all the wicked, cruel, harmful, immoral, thoughts words and actions, Therefore, I am not a God, not an angel, not an ordinary man, I AM A BUDDHA. This is the meaning of the BUDDHA or ENLIGHTENMENT.”
အားလံုးေသာ စာခ်စ္သူမ်ားအား ဗုဒၶျမတ္စြာကုိ ဘာေၾကာင့္ ဗုဒၶလုိ႔ ေခၚဆုိရတယ္ဆုိတာကုိ သိရွိေစႏုိင္ဖုိ႔အတြက္ စာခ်စ္သူတုိ႔ကုိ စာေရးသူ ဆရာေတာ္ ေကသရီဓမၼာနႏၵ၏ ေဟာေျပာခ်က္ တရားေတာ္ထဲမွ ဗုဒၶကို ဗုဒၶလုိ႔ ေခၚဆုိရျခင္းနဲ႔ပတ္သက္တဲ့ ေဟာေျပာခ်က္ေလးကုိသာ ေ၀မွ်လိုက္တာပါ။ မႈရင္း ေဟာေျပာခ်က္ကေတာ့ "How to live without fear and worry" ဆုိတဲ့ တရားေတာ္ထဲကပါ။ မႈရင္း ဆရာေတာ္ရဲ့ ေဟာေျပာခ်က္ စကားကုိ အဂၤလိပ္ သက္သက္ေလးပဲ အသံနဲ႔ အတူ စာသားေလးကုိပဲ ေရးသားေပးလုိက္ပါတယ္။ ဘာသာျပန္စရာမလုိဘဲ မႈရင္း ပါဠိစကားနဲ႔အတူ အဂၤလိပ္စာသားေလးနဲ႔တင္ပဲ ဗုဒၶျမတ္စြာကုိ ဗုဒၶလုိ႔ ေခၚဆုိသင့္တဲ့၊ ေခၚဆုိထိုက္တဲ့ အရည္အေသြးမ်ားစြာနဲ႔ ျပည့္စံုေနတဲ့အတြက္ေၾကာင့္ ဗုဒၶလုိ႔ ေခၚဆုိရတာပါ။ ဆုိတာကုိ အလြယ္သိႏိုင္တဲ့အတြက္ ဘာသာမျပန္လုိက္ပါဘူး။
စာခ်စ္သူတုိ႔အားလံုး ဗုဒၶျမတ္စြာဆိုတာ ဘယ္လုိပုဂၢဳိလ္ျဖစ္တယ္ဆုိတာသိရွိျပီးေနာက္၊ ဗုဒၶျမတ္စြာရဲ့ တရားဓမၼမ်ားကုိ သင္ယူ၊ ေလ့လာ၊ က်င့္ၾကံၾကကာ ခ်မ္းသာျခင္းအစစ္အမွန္ျဖစ္တဲ့ နိဗၺာန္ခ်မ္းသာကုိ ရရွိႏိုင္ၾကပါေစလုိ႔ ဆႏၵျပဳလုိက္ပါတယ္။
